| SPANKY'S jump from that crane was flawless!! hundreds of people turned out to watch the worlds greatest stuntman defy death in uptown Butte along with several T.V. crews, Spanky's team (pro stunts) did a great job with the crowd and setting up everything perfect,and thanks to the guys from spitz sunflower seeds for sponsoring the event!! |
| RECKLESS REX pulled off one of the best jumps I've ever seen, first he did several wheelies and catwalk wheelies getting the crowd pumped up and several speed runs until the announcer said "this is it folks,he's gonna go!" he really hit the take off fast and got some great hight, he landed a little long landing with a slight fishtail and I don't know how he held on but he did and showed he is a true champion!! I got to meet Rex's kids who are really cool and also were Rex's crew,he's got himself a great team! Evel said Rex is on of the best in the world and I agree 100 %! and Rex if you or any of your crew see's this please e-mail me! thanks pal! |

| As I flew into Butte I had high expectations for this years Evel Knievel days event the weather was perfect all week and it started out a little rough as the lady that had promised me that my press pass would be waiting there for me said they were all out,well thanks to my pal Paul Squires from Knievel Korner.uk they printed me one right up,then at the family fun day in koprivica park I was talking to Evel as the autograph session was winding down and this guy pushes me back with his for arm,I thought the guy was falling and was just catching himself then he said 'Evel dosen't like people talking to him" I got really pissed and the guy apoligised so on top of that some guy who was one of the security staff for the event and come to find out is widely known as a theif and part of a local pickpocket team along with his very young daughter steals about $250 from my wife's purse! AHHHGH! but one of the comittie leaders said they could not let him go because they were so short handed AHHHGHHH!!! anyway we decided to just forget those things and have a good time anyway! and we did! most of the Butte towns people are really fine and upstanding people! Later that day Reckless Rexx jumped a good 13 car legenth even though it was set up for 9 cars he almost over shot the landing ramp completely! he did a great show!! then there was a sharp shooter which I couldn't see from where I was at but I hear it was great! lol!. the last event at the park that day was the SCS guys doing what they do best BIG AIR jumps!! Matt and the boys are without a doubt the best freestylers on the planet period!! |
