EVEL gave a great and powerful talk at the social. he spoke of how proud he is of Butte and what a great future the town has.  of how we all should listen to the young people for new ideas of building upon it's success.

number 1 EVEL fan Wade Pennell at the Butte miners memorial, Butte has a LOT of pride for all the blood,sweat and tears that so many have gave to carve this wonderful family community out of the rockies

Knievel daze 2003 was one of the best rallys I've ever been to,the people are  the best there in Butte ,I saw a lot of old friends and made a lot of new ones. Evel could be seen all over town on his road king (Las Vegas Harley gave him last year for his birthday) and even Robbie came by on his way to Sturgis. there was never a dull moment to be had in this town I don't really remember the bachelorett party "Big Daddy" Don Gearheart and I got cought up into but later on I did see some wild pics of Wade there!!!                                                 Spanky Spangler put on one spine tingeling show with his car jump! as Spanky was midway up the ramp the support gave way on the right side and sent Spanky reeling way off to the right,it looked bad I thought he had to be badly hurt but like the top stuntman that he is he came through without a scratch.( oh yeah,thanks for letting me work on your ramp Spanky)Spanky is recognised by the stuntmans hall of fame as the worlds top stuntman.                                                                                 the social was a very special time I almost missed,with the rest of the week in Butte and then driving to Vegas and then on to Phoenix I didn't have the money for a ticket but my pal Kyle from Maryland saved the day and sprung a $100.00  so I could go,that was a great gesture I will never forget! I am wrighting a book about my trip and hope to have it out by next years daze but will post some excerpts here in the near future, see you at KNIEVEL daze 2004!!!  Flipp
