a big thank you to Robbie and Tamara! what a great time we had in Marks Mississippi! they had a really went all out to put on a good show including bike games like the "wennie bite",slow race and more. as soon as I arrived I saw Robbie doing a pratice jump and the wind really gave him some trouble twisting his bike to the right and almost causing him to miss the landing ramp! I got to hang with Robbie all day while he got everything ready for the big show, the Mississippi sun was really hot on that air field too! (thats why I stayed under the ramps 99% of the time!) I got meet some really great people there like Doc and his beautiful wife from http://www.crossroadsrally.com, T.J. Mr. Rushing, Danny Paris and a lot more. we had thought the hurricane headed tword the gulf might rain us out but the weather complied and at 6:30 Ryan Brasher opened the show with his jump getting the crowd all fired up, then Robbie came blasting out from the hanger a did several wheelies and speed runs and the people there really got into it! even with a very strong side wind Robbie made a beautiful jump! and they raised money for ST. Judes chrildrens hospital which was what it was all about! |
